Curbside collection runs as normal
The holiday calendar posted Oct. 19, 2026 shows curbside collections open on Thanksgiving Day and the day after. The landfill and transfer stations close at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Refuse is collected on all holidays except Christmas and New Year's Day. For those two, affected customers are notified of an alternate day, generally the following weekday or the previous Saturday.
The calendar covers curbside garbage, recycling and composting. Solid Waste Services collects only in its own service area. Commercial operators serve the rest of the municipality.
