No collection Thursday; routes shift one day later
The city is closed Thursday, Nov. 26 with no collection. Thursday and Friday routes shift one day later, so Friday collections happen Saturday, Nov. 28.
Charlotte posts a dedicated 2026 holiday page. New Year's Day is observed by the city, but residential collection continues as scheduled.
The page refers to residential trash. It does not separately state recycling. Natural Christmas trees go out on the regular yard waste day.
