Navy moves to Monday, Dec. 28
On the 2026 calendar, the week of Dec. 21 runs Pink Monday, Ruby Tuesday, Gold Wednesday, Gray Thursday and holiday Friday, Dec. 25. The following week starts with Navy Monday, Dec. 28, then Pink, Ruby and Gold. New Year's Day, Jan. 1, is also a holiday.
For households in a color zone, collection moves forward one day after every observed holiday. For recycling and yard waste, a collection day on or after the holiday is delayed one day that week, and Friday moves to Saturday.
The color calendar covers refuse for households assigned a collection color. Recycling and yard waste follow a separate rule. Not every household is on the color schedule.
