Friday pickup moves to Saturday
No 2026 notice was found. A December 2024 city notice delayed sanitation and recycling one day for the Christmas week. Applied to 2026, Friday, Dec. 25 pickup would move to Saturday, Dec. 26.
The Solid Waste page says that during a designated holiday week, collection of garbage, yard waste and recycling shifts one day later in the same week.
Garbage and yard waste are weekly and recycling is every other week. The Solid Waste page does not list which holidays count. The shift rule comes from the page and from earlier city notices.
