Friday pickups move to Saturday
Christmas is a delay holiday, so Friday, Dec. 25 pickups move one day later, to Saturday, Dec. 26.
Most holidays do not change collection. Four 2026 holidays delay pickup one day for the rest of that week: New Year's Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The page covers single-family pickup and does not itemize trash, recycling and yard waste. Multifamily and business service under recycLA follows a different schedule.
