Friday collection moves to Saturday
Applying the Metro rule to Friday, Dec. 25: collection moves one day later, to Saturday, Dec. 26. The page lists no 2026 dates.
In the Urban Services District there is no collection on Metro Government holidays. A holiday causes a one-day delay, and all remaining collections that week are also one day later.
The page says waste collection and does not itemize trash, recycling and yard or bulk. It says to check alerts or use Recycle Coach for weekend holidays.
Phone: Metro311, dial 311 or (502) 574-5000. Find your own collection day: city lookup.
