Pickup on or after Dec. 25 delayed one day
Christmas Day is on the city's delay list. Under the city's rule, collection that falls on or after Friday, Dec. 25 is delayed one day.
The calendar states: "Recycling and garbage pick-up will be delayed one day if your collection falls on or after the following holidays." Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are on the list.
The page covers garbage and recycling. The 2026 calendar PDF states the delay rule but its text does not clearly mark the Thanksgiving and Christmas dates, so use the city's calendar or lookup for your day.
Phone: 651-266-6101 (Garbage and Recycling Program); city non-emergency 651-266-8989. Find your own collection day: city lookup.
