Friday pickup moves to the next scheduled day
Applying the department's rule to Friday, Dec. 25: garbage and bulky trash move to the next scheduled pickup day in the area. Recycling makeup dates are on the recycling calendar.
The department closes only on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Christmas Day. If a regular pickup day falls on either, garbage and bulky trash move to the next scheduled pickup day in the area.
Garbage is collected twice a week, recycling every other week, and bulky trash (yard material) once a week. Recycling makeup dates are on the household recycling calendar.
Phone: 305-960-2801 (Solid Waste) or 311. Find your own collection day: city lookup.
