No change: collected on the regular day
Thanksgiving is not one of the two closure days on the page, so under the department's rule collection stays on the regular day. The page lists no 2026 notice.
The department closes only on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Christmas Day. If a regular pickup day falls on either, garbage and bulky trash move to the next scheduled pickup day in the area.
Garbage is collected twice a week, recycling every other week, and bulky trash (yard material) once a week. Recycling makeup dates are on the household recycling calendar.
Phone: 305-960-2801 (Solid Waste) or 311. Find your own collection day: city lookup.
